Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK), translated as Chinese Proficiency Test, is the official Mandarin language exam for non-native speakers.

HSK is administrated by Hanban, an affiliate of the Chinese Ministry of Education. The exams is recongised internationally and can be taken in over 120 countries.

The HSK exam has 6 levels – from HSK 1 (beginners) to HSK 6 (advanced). There are clear syllabus and well-researched learning materials for each level to guide learners.

At Mandarin Quarter, we design our courses to align with the HSK system. It is to provide clear learning objectives and to make it easier for learners to benchmark their progress and receive recognition on their proficiency.
